DILLWYN, Sept. 29 – Monroe Butler Price, 75, of Dillwyn, died Sunday, September 27, 2009 at his home. He was born October 24, 1933 in Buckingham County, the son of the late James Herman Price and Annie Lee Butler Price.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Rush Price; two sons, Brad Price and Keith Price both of Newport News; stepson, Troy Newton of Buckingham; brother, Bill Price of Newport News; sister, Kate Reid of Lawrenceville; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Enon Baptist Church with interment in the Dillwyn Town Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church on Wednesday.

Contributions may be made to Enon Baptist Church or a charity of the donor choice.
