CHARLOTTE CH, Feb. 23 – Robert James Campbell Sr., 56 of Charlotte Court House passed away Saturday, February 20, 2010 in Lynchburg. He was born December 20, 1953 in Wichita, Kansas, a son of the late James Clark and Doris Knobloch Campbell. He served in the United States Navy. Mr. Campbell worked as a mechanic at Duffey's Garage and Douglas Auto.

He is survived by his sons, Robert Campbell Jr. and wife, Laura and Michael Abbott and wife, Jamie; a brother, Michael Campbell and wife, Diane; sisters, Marylou Vanarsdale and husband, Mike, Patricia Ferrari and husband, John, Deborah Lutz and husband, Rob and Linda Frye and husband, Charlie; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Haley; cousins, Cam and Mary Jane Dornauer; beloved friend, Mary Campbell and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Hollingsworth.

A memorial service was held Monday, Feb. 22, at the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home.

Puckett Funeral Home, Farmville, was in charge of arrangements.
