FEBRUARY 5 – Mrs. Margaret Steele Bailey, 75 of Farmville passed away Tuesday evening, February 3, 2009 in Farmville. She was born March 23, 1933 in Coylton, Scotland, the daughter of the late Charles and Caina Berritti Steele. She was the wife of Joseph M. Bailey.

She is survived by her husband, her children, Joseph C. Bailey and wife, Jazmin of Farmville, Karen B. Dennis and husband, Michael of Concord, New Hampshire, Eileen B. Broughman and husband, Steve of Chester, Dale M. Bailey and wife, Cyndy of Charleston, South Carolina and Beverley A. Bailey of Northfield, New Hampshire; brothers, Claudio Steele and Robert Steele both of Scotland; sisters, Betty McMillan, Rena Spagnola, Jeanette Bertoncini and Ellen Graham all of Scotland; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mable Houlett and her brothers, Charles and John Steele.

A funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 6, at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment in the Virginia Veteran's Cemetery in Amelia.

Family will receive friends Friday 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. just before the service at the funeral home.
