'Lollie' Hamilton, 101 Dies Wednesday At Age 101

OCTOBER 7 – Malvern Olivia “Lollie” Harris Hamilton, 101, of Farmvllle, died Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at Holly Manor Nursing Home.
She was born September 22, 1903 in Appomattox County, a daughter of the late Thomas Early and Loula Moore Harris. She was the widow of Joseph Henry Hamilton.
Mrs. Hamilton was a home-maker and long time resident of Charlotte County and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Madisonville.
She is survived by three daughters, Corinne H. Moore and her husband, Richard, Phyllis H. Walker and her husband, A. J. and June H. Wilkins and her husband, Curtis all of Farmville; one sister, Louise H. Dillon of Darlington Heights; five granddaughters and six great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Centenary United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening (Thursday) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Shorter Funeral Home, Farmvllle.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Centenary United Methodist Church or to the Prince Edward County Rescue Squad.
