Lawson W. Atkinson, 88 Retired Herald Employee, Dies

AUGUST 5 – Lawson W. Atkinson, 88, of Farmvllle, died Tuesday, August 3,2004.
Mr. Atkinson was a retired employee of The Farmville Herald with 22 years of service.
He is survived by a son, Jimmie L. Atkinson of Matoaca;
a daughter, Frances A. Borum and husband, Bobby of Amelia; four grandchildren, Greg Borum, Brett Borum and wife, Dana, Joan A. Grandstaff and husband, James and Janet Atkinson and one great-grandson, Zander.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home with interment in Trinity Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Prince Edward Rescue Squad or the Cumberland Presbyterian Church
