MAY 4 – Kenneth Joseph Barton, 58, of Farmville, died Sunday, May 2, 2004.

He was born September 7, 1945 in New York, a son of William and Ethel Schroeder Barton.

Mr. Barton was a teacher at Piedmont Regional Juvenile Detention Center and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife, Jo-Ann Potts Barton; two daughters, Kyle B. Vatalaro of Queens, NY and Amanda Barton of Long Island, NY; a son, Christopher Barton of Farmville and a brother, William Barton of New York.

The family will receive friends this evening (Tuesday) from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home, Farmville, followed by a Wake service at 7:30 p.m. interment will be private.

Remembrances may be made to the Meals on Wheels or the Madeline House.
