AMELIA, Aug. 26 – Joseph B. Bryant Sr., 84, of Amelia, passed from this life on Thursday, August 21, 2008. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cicero and Maude Bryant, and his wife, Ethel Bowman Bryant of 49 years.

He is survived by his sons, Joseph B. Jr. of Chesterfield, Steve and wife, Brenda of Amelia, Harold and wife, Beverly of Midlothian; daughters, Regina Fahrner and husband, Dick of Cumberland, Carolyn Honeycutt and husband, C.H. of Mohawk, TN, Nancy Davis and husband, Eugene of Farmville; brother, Tom and wife, Marie of Amelia; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services were held Sunday at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home in Amelia, with burial in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice.

Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, of Amelia, was in charge of arrangements.
