RUSTBURG, Oct. 21 – Joanne Daubenspeck, 51, of Rustburg, died Sunday, October 19, 2008, after a short battle with cancer. She was a graduate of Longwood University and an employee of Avante Nursing Center.

She is survived by her mother, Nora Daubenspeck of Phenix; brother, Drew Daubenspeck and wife, Sharon of Phenix; three uncles; seven aunts; many cousins; and her beloved pets. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Martin Daubenspeck.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 21, in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home of her mother, 1129 Bethel Road, Phenix, at all times.

Contributions may be made to the Barksdale Foundation or the Charlotte County Rescue Squad.

The Browning Funeral Home, Keysville, is in charge of arrangements.
