WORSHAM. March 4 – Jessie Wood Southall, 91, of Worsham, died Wednesday, March 3, 2004.

She was born July 11, 1912 in Prince Edward County, a daughter of the late Jesse and Frances Garland Wood.

She is survived by a daughter, Peggy S. Dinelli; a nephew, Hugh Cabell Garland; a daughter-in-law, Mary Virginia Southall; grandchildren, Jo Anne Nolte, Carol Lynn Lewis, Keith Lewis, Michael Dinelli, Hope Wallin, Mark Southall, Donna Neese and Janet Southall; 11 great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Bernard (Peter) Southall and a sister, Frances Wood Garland.

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice.

The family will receive friends this evening (Thursday) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville.
