OCTOBER 27 – Jane Barr Chapman, 89, of Farmville, passed away, Friday, October 23, 2009 in Farmville.<br />
Mrs. Chapman was a member of the TOPS organization and Cumberland Baptist Temple and was formerly employed with KilKare Laundry, Craddock & Terry Shoe Factory, Firestone Store and Chapman Store.

She is survived by two sons, James Chapman of Farmville and Gil Chapman and wife, Susie of Buckingham; daughter, Joyce Foster and husband, Harold of Richmond; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Washington and Nellie Rhymer Barr, her husband, Robert Woodrow, “Chat” Chap-man, four brothers and seven sisters.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. Interment followed in Antioch United Methodist Church, Cumberland County.
