DECEMBER 1 – James Kelly Riddle Sr., 71, of Farmville passed away Sunday, November 29, 2009 in Richmond. He was born March 21, 1938 in Cumberland, the son of the late Dewey Clarence Riddle Sr. and Etta Barr Riddle. Mr. Riddle was married for over 48 years to his beloved wife, Barbara Morgan Riddle. He worked 35 years at Phillip Morris Co. and served eight years in the Farmville National Guard. He loved and cherished his family and many friends.

He is survived by his wife, his children, James Kelly Riddle Jr., David Wayne Riddle, Michael Todd Riddle and girlfriend, Wendy Clark all of Farmville and Karen Renee Riddle and boyfriend, Adam Barnard of Powhatan; daughter-in-law, Marchele Riddle; sister, Pamela Darlene Riddle-Jamerson; grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua, Kayla, Troy, Shaina and Elizabeth and great-grandchild, Aiden. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dewey Clarence Riddle Jr. and grandson, Johnathan Kelly Riddle.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment in Antioch United Methodist Church in Cumberland County.

Family will receive friends Wednesday evening 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Center Presbyterian Church, Cumberland.
