JANUARY 20 – James H. Francis, 62, of Farmville, died Saturday, January 17, 2004.

He was born January 17, 1942 in Nelson County, a son of the late Harmon and Leila Cash Francis. He was an employee of Weavexx Corporation.

He is survived by his children, Vickie Francis Wilson of South Boston, James Michael Francis of Halifax and Donna Francis Lewis of Farmville; a special friend, Peggy Lawson of Farmville; sisters, Eleanor Harris and Ruth Jennings both of Nathalie and Rebecca Hogan of Halifax; brothers, Clark Francis of Taylor, MI and Kenneth Francis of South Boston and five grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville, with interment in Westvlew Cemetery.

The family will receive friends this evening (Tuesday) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
