AMELIA, Dec. 4 – James L. (Jimmy) Berger, of Amelia, died on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in Richmond.

He was born August 4, 1944, the son of Robert and Patsy Berger of Powhatan. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Barbara B. Sullivan, and his first wife, Diana Mills Berger.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda F. Berger; sisters, Marie B. Vaughan (Dickie) of Farmville, and Norma J. Combs (Taylor) of Cumberland; a brother, David L. Berger (Toni) of North Carolina; several nieces, a nephew, and stepsons, Tim of Fork Union, Greg of Richmond, and Shane of North Carolina.

A memorial service is planned Friday, December 5, at noon, at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home.
