JULY 27 – Iris Emily Over-street McAllister, 81, of Farmvllle, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at her residence.

She was born November 24, 1922 in Brookneal, a daughter of the late A. W. and Patsy Hamlett Overstreet. She was the widow of Ira William (Billy) McAllister, Sr.

Mrs. McAllister was a home-maker.

She is survived by her children, Ronald P. McAllister and Ira William (Scotty) McAllister, III; her grandchildren, Gaul Ira Varner, April and Stuart McAllister, Cindie White, Wendy, Amanda and Nicole McAllister; her great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Payge McAllister, Patrick, Brandy, Colby and Tyier White. She was preceded in death by a son, Ira William (Jackie) McAllister, Jr.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Chapel of Shorter Funeral Home, Farmvllle, with interment in Trinity Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
