APRIL 28 – Herman Glenn Wilkins, 51, of Farmville passed away Thursday evening, April 23, 2009 at his residence. He was born September 5, 1957 in Newport News, the son of Irene Dean Wilkins Zitta and the late Herman Lewis Wilkins. He was the husband of Linda Marie Wilkins.

He worked as a construction superintendent. Mr. Wilkins loved fishing and telling fishing tales. He was an avid cook and loved to laugh and make other people laugh. He was a loving husband and lived his life to the fullest.

He is survived by his wife, his son, James Wilkins of Farmville; brothers, Joseph Rufus Wilkins of Farmville and Scott Wilkins and wife, Alison of Powhatan; sisters, Janet Alvarez and husband, Esteban of Boca Rotan, Florida, Anna Wilson and husband, Leslie of Gloucester, and Lorrie Barron and husband, David of Charlotte Court House.

A memorial service was held Sunday, April 26, at Eureka Baptist Church in Charlotte County with interment in the church cemetery.

Puckett Funeral Home, Farmville, was in charge of arrangements.
