WAYNESBORO, Feb. 17 – Hazel Rush Brown, 77, of Waynesboro, died Saturday, February 14, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Rolfe Lacy Rush Sr. and Lillian R. Rush.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Rolfe Lacy Rush Jr. and Charles Rush and the widow of Charles Brown and George Ireland.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Ireland of Waynesboro; three sisters, Lucille Jamerson of Dillwyn, Mary Palmore of Scottsville, and Carolyn Jamerson of Dillwyn; two brothers, James A. Rush and Gordon Rush both of Scottsville.

Funeral services were held Tuesday (today) at 2 p.m. at Sharon Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
