NEW CANTON, Feb. 18 – Michael “Mike” James Gunter, 56, of New Canton, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Born May 10, 1953, he was a son of Margaret Miller Gunter and the late Jack Gunter.

He is also survived by his brother, Steve Gunter and wife, Janice of New Canton; two sisters, Linda Hagyari and husband, Larry of Jefferson, PA, and Rosemary Evans and husband, Andy of New Canton; several nieces and nephews, Pam Gunter Lloyd and husband, Shane and their two children, Ryan and Jessie Paige; Amy Hagyari Crilley and husband, Matt and their son, Troy; Steven Hagyari, and Maggie and Patrick Evans.

Mr. Gunter had many, many special friends that he loved and cared for, he was a good 'ole boy who would do anything for anybody. He will be greatly missed. We need not to mourn his loss but to celebrate his life, that's the way he would want it. Mike has grieved since the loss of his father but he grieves no more, for they are in heaven together, in peace, forever.

A graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Calvary Cemetery, New Canton.

Family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Friday at Colbert Funeral Home.
