Graveside Service Set Thursday For Walter A. Robinson, 85

FEBRUARY 24 – Walter Alien Robinson, 85, of Farmville, died Monday, February 23, 2004.

He was born June 9, 1918 in Ohio, a son of the late George Ayers Robinson and Elizabeth Ballard Robinson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Elizabeth Robinson.

Mr. Robinson was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, a retired technician for Southern Hardware, a member of Farmville Presbyterian Church and High Bridge Train Club. He was a volunteer for Southside Community Hospital.

He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Anne Parley and her husband, John of Chatham; a sister, Ann Robinson of New York City, NY and a brother, George A. Robinson of Long-wood, FL.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday In Westvlew Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home.<br />
Remembrances may be made to Farmville Presbyterian Church or the Prince Edward Volunteer Rescue Squad.
