George W. Crump, 89 New York Resident Dies February 27

NEW YORK, March 3 – George Washington Crump, 89, of Jamesport, NY, formerly of Cumberland, departed this life on Friday, February 27, 2009 in New York.
He is survived by his sister, Louise Booker of Cumberland; a sister-in-law, Rosa Crump; four devoted cousins, Jessie Crump, Alease Phillips, Gertrude Cole and James Miles; devoted friends, Timothy Benton, Ophelia and Clinton Coon, and Mary Trent.
His remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Center Union Baptist Church, Cumberland, with the Rev. Stevie M. Trent, pastor, officiating, with interment in the church cemetery.
