BURKEVILLE, Jan. 6 – Garland D. Wilmouth, 95, of Burkeville, died on Thursday, January 1, 2009.

Surviving are his wife, Frances Dunnavant Wilmouth; daughter, Jean W. Whitley and husband, John of Midlothian; three loving stepchildren and their families; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five sisters and five brothers.

He was a US Army veteran of World War II and served in the Battle of the Bulge.

A funeral service was held Sunday, Jan. 4, in the Browning Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in the Mt. Harmony United Methodist Cemetery.

The Browning Funeral Home, Keysville, was in charge of arrangements.
