PROSPECT, Jan. 29 – William Luke LeWarne, 76, of Prospect, died Monday, January 26, 2009 in Farmville. He was the husband of Patsy Fulcher LeWarne.

Born in Prince Edward County, August 30, 1932, he was the son of the late Houston and Rhodie Harris LeWarne. He was a truck driver for many years.

In addition to his wife, Mr. LeWarne is survived by two sons, Robert William LeWarne and wife, Julia of Darnestown, MD, and Paul Terry LeWarne of Prospect; two grandsons, John William LeWarne of Prospect and Jack LeWarne of Darnestown, MD; and three brothers, B. J. LeWarne and Scott LeWarne both of Prospect and Lemore LeWarne of Richmond.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, in the Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 Thursday (to-night) at the funeral home.
