DARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Jan. 5 – Ida Harvey, 93, of Darlington Heights, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 in Farmville. She was born in Appomattox County, April 23, 1916 to the late Chapman Irby and Mattie Baker Harvey. She was retired from Kyanite Mining Corporation and was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sister, Mae Harvey Blank of Farmville; sister-in-law, Dorothy F. Harvey of Keysville; nieces, Linda B. Berry of Raleigh, NC, Patricia H. Stone of Keysville and Myrna H. Rooks of Richmond and nephews, Harvey B. Bryant of Severna Park, MD and Andrew S. Bryant of Phoenix, AZ. In addition to her parents, her twin sister, Emilie H. Bryant, sister, Terrell H. Dunnavant and two brothers, William R. Harvey and Ryland B. Harvey, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday in Spring Creek Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
