GREEN BAY. Jan. 15 -Marjorie McCarter Smith, 70. of Green Bay, died Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at her residence. She was born June 9, 1933, a daughter of the late Walter Lee and Lenora Ownby McCarter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, David Carl Smith and her son, David Smith.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary S. Williamson and her husband, Gary of Victoria and Guy lie S. Greene of Green Bay; two sisters, Cretie M. Smith of Pigeon Forge, TN and Lene M. Lewis of Green Bay; three brothers, Jim McCarter of Gatlinburg, TN, Jack and Gene McCarter both of Pigeon Forge, TN; three grandchildren, Robert Greene and Marjorie Crenshaw both of Green Bay and Lisa Wilkerson of Sevierville, TN; five great grandchildren, Stephanie Crenshaw, Kimberly Crenshaw, Casey Crenshaw, Taylor McCartney and Justin McCartney and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville, with Interment in Trinity Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
