NOVEMBER 19 – Elsie Shirley Shaw, 84, of Farmville, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, November 17, 2009.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Eda Elliott of Brick, NJ; son, Vaughn Allen Shaw of Long Branch, NJ; son, Brent Alvin Shaw of Farmville; daughter, Brenda Shaw Beiler of Rice; and daughter, Margaret Eileen Greenwood of Little Silver, NJ; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jane Lee of Patterson, NJ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Alvin Shaw.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Shorter Funeral Home, where funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel, with interment to follow in Westview Cemetery, Farmville.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to your local SPCA.
