Ellice A. Browning, 91 Of Brookview Lodge Dies October 3

OCTOBER 9 – Ellice Arm-strong Browning, 91, of Brookview Lodge, Farmville, died Friday, October 3, 2008. She was born September 20, 1917, at Rose Hill Farm, Culpeper County, to the late Edward Brent Armstrong and Ellice Pauline Button Armstrong. Her husband, James P. Browning, a son, Richard E. Browning, two sisters, Lucy A. Browning and Lydia A. Spiker, and two brothers, Edward B. Armstrong Jr. and John F. Armstrong, preceded her in death.

She is survived by sons, James P. Browning Jr. and wife, Sally of Allentown, PA and Robert A. Browning and wife, Donna of Farmville; daughter-in-law, Marian K. Browning of Falls Village, CT and six grand-children, Daniel A. Browning and wife, Gwenis of Kutztown, PA, Kelly B. Jarzabek and husband, Michael of Powell, OH, Marcus R. Browning and wife, Sarah of Farmville, Whitney P. Browning and wife, Heather of Leesburg, Anya A.B. Browning of Falls Village, CT, and Slava A.B. Browning of Falls Village, CT; eight great-grandchildren, Elyse A. Browning, Madison D. Jarzabek, Kaden R. Jarzabek, Brianna C. Jarzabek, Lucy B. Browning, Mary E. Browning, Lana R. Browning, and Andrew A. Browning.

Mrs. Browning was a graduate of Strayer Business College. She and her husband owned and ran Graystone Service Station and Convenience Store until 1964. She retired in 1980 form the Warrenton Training Center, a division of the federal government. She was a member of Warrenton Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Friday, October 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton, with funeral services on Saturday, October 11 at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Warrenton Town Cemetery.
