NEW YORK, March 2 – Elizabeth Brooks Chapman, 85, de-parted this life on Friday, February 26, 2010 in New York City.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Alice Chapman-Minutello of Far Hills, NJ; Elijah Chapman Jr. of Lithonia, GA; Bettye Chapman-Buchanan of Port Saint Lucie, FL; and Mary Ann Chapman of Chicago, IL; three granddaughters, Laura Chapman-Washington, Mercedes Brooks-Buchanan and Ieshia Chapman; grandson, Christopher David James; great-granddaughter, Morgan Ashley Washington; three great-grandsons, Makel, Jaheim and Christopher; two sons-in-law, Frank Minutello and George (Buck) Buchanan; two daughters-in-law, Nora Ray-Chapman and Raziah Brown-Chapman; brother, Sinclair Brooks; sister, Dorothy Fleming-Brooks; a very special cousin, Mary Crump; five sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 7, at noon at the Tearwallet Baptist Church, Cumberland, with the Rev. Sandy Covington, Pastor. Interment will be at Tearwallet Baptist Church Cemetery.
