WYLLIESBURG, Dec. 2 -Eleanor Smith McGuire, 86, of Wylliesburg, died Saturday, November 29, 2008. She was the widow of P.R. McGuire.

She was the co-owner of McGuire Lumber Company and Valedictorian of Bluestone High School Class of 1938.

Surviving are three children, Penny M. Lawson and husband, Ricky L. Lawson, Martha M. Wilson and husband, Ronald K. Wilson, and William P. McGuire and wife, Sheri R. McGuire; three grandchildren, Richie L. Lawson and wife, Suzanne D. Lawson, Elizabeth H. Bishop and husband, Robert W. Bishop, and Robertson McGuire; great-granddaughter, Samantha M. Bishop; great-grandson, Seth C. Bishop; step-grandsons, Todd E. Wilson and Jason H. Wilson; and sister-in-law, Nona M. Morgan.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 1, in Wylliesburg Presbyterian Church with interment in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home at all times.

The Browning Funeral Home, Keysville, was in charge of arrangements.
