APPOMATTOX, Dec. 23 – A memorial service for Edna Wooldridge Williams, 94, of Appomattox was held Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Wes Williams. She was the daughter of the late James Nathan and Alma Davis Wooldridge and the wife of the late Harry Andrew Williams. She was also preceded in death by a brother, James E. Wooldridge.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane W. Pack; two grandsons, Henry Broderick (Rick) Pack, IV and Dr. William A. Pack; three great-grandchildren, Alexandra (Alex) Pack, Henry B. (Brock) Pack, V, and Rachel Pack and a good friend, Brod Pack.
A private burial was held at Prospect United Methodist Cemetery following the service.
The family request that memorials be made to the Appomattox Courthouse Presbyterian Church, PO Box 85, Appomattox, VA 24522.
The family would like to thank friends, Jackie and Roger Hunt, Ruth Drinkard, Alice Martin, Rachel Stanley, Kemper Beasley and other special ones who brightened Edna's day with their visits.
