RICHMOND, Sept. 22 – Edith Dunkum Leap, 79, of Richmond, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 16, 2009 with family by her side.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, James H. Leap; two daughters, Mary Lou Thatcher and husband, Bob of Grandy, N.C. and Alma Leap and devoted friend, Al; one granddaughter, Whitney M. Harris; a brother, Wesley Dunkum Jr. and wife Jeane, of Scottsville; sister, Janet Ayres and husband, Billy of Austin TX.

A graveside service was conducted Saturday at Westhampton Memorial Park.
