DILLWYN, June 1 Edward Dwayne “Eddie” Hicks, 41, of Dillwyn, died Friday, May 28, 2004.

He was born November 10, 1962, a son of Edward “Bootsie” and Bettie Hicks of Dillwyn.

Mr. Hicks was employed by the Kyanite Mining Corporation.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Denise; two sons, Derick Dwayne and Travis Aaron Hicks; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donnie and Shirley Davis; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Daniel and Teresa Davis; a niece. Heather Hicks and two nephews, Kevin Hicks and Matthew Davis all of Dillwyn.

Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Thursday evening at Cedar Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cedar Baptist Church Building Fund or the Buckingham County Rescue Squad.
