KEYSVILLE, Dec. 4 – Dortha Bee Riley Delp, 84, of Keysville, died Monday, December 1, 2008 in South Boston. She was the wife of the late Thomas Howard Delp.

Born in Newhall, WV, February 20, 1924, Mrs. Delp was the daughter of the late Hugh Preston Riley and Ida Icey Bowman Riley. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Drakes Branch.

She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Crouse of Keysville and Sandra Roberts of Richmond; step-daughter, Linda Delp of Louisburg, NC; step-son, Jim Patterson of Charlotte, NC; brother, Hugh Preston Riley Jr. of Tazewell; sister, Louise Music of Princeton, WV; nine grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Thursday (today) at Friendship Baptist Church with interment in Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield.

Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville, was in charge of arrangements.
