BEDFORD, Feb. 10 – Diane Delores Heidger Bollinger, 79, of Bedford slipped quietly away into an everlasting sleep Sunday, February 8, 2009 after a prolonged illness. She was born on Thursday, March 28, 1929 in Craftsbury, VT, a daughter of the late John McClay Heidger and Nina Lumsden Heidger. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Terry Heidger.

Mrs. Bollinger retired as night supervisor at South Roanoke Nursing Home.

Surviving is her husband of fifty-eight years, Cecil and two daughters, Sharon Anne Krosel of Beltsville, MD, and Zoe Ann Tiller of Adamstown, MD; and a son, David Bruce Bollinger of Conyers, GA; two grandchildren, Meagan Kimberly Miller and Edward Peter Krosell III; and a brother, John Heidger of Ocala, FL.

The family requests that memorial donations may be made to Bedford Hospice Care, P. O. Box 688, Bedford, VA 24523 .

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
