HURT, August 7 – Dallas McKay Tribble, 74, of 426 Oakwood Dr., Hurt, died Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Melvin Booker Tribble, Sr..

She was born September 5, 1933 in Farmville, a daughter of the late Stanley Baxter McKay and Sue Allen McKay. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and a retired employee of Piedmont Manufacturing.

She is survived by two sons, Melvin Booker Tribble Jr. of Simi Valley, California and Ernest Wayne Tribble and wife, Kelly of Hurt; a granddaughter, Gina Marie Tribble; a brother, Lloyd Baxter McKay of Farmville; and two sisters, Ruth M. Pollard of Richmond and Edith M. Falkowski of Florida.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, Au-gust 9, at the Finch and Finch Chapel by the Rev. Brady Willis with interment to follow at Altavista Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at noon at Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista.
