DECEMBER 30 – Creed Wilbur DeHart, 74, of Farmville, died Monday, December 29, 2008 in Farmville.

Born October 6, 1934 in Lunenburg County, he was the son of the late Creed Henderson DeHart and Helen Lindsey DeHart. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was retired as a Rescue Squad dispatcher.

He is survived by a son, Bobby DeHart of Staunton, and two sisters, Alice DeHart Throckmorton of Farmville and Lavonne DeHart Chernault of South Boston.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, in Trinity Memorial Gar-dens, Rice.
