AUGUST 10 – Clarence W. Coleman, 87, of Rice, passed away Friday, August 6, 2010 in Farmville. He was born September 21, 1922 in Virginia, the son of the late Wiley and Dolly Coleman.

Mr. Coleman served his country in the United States Army and was a retired carpenter.

He is survived by his daughters, Linda Owen and husband, Curtis of Rice and Shirley Marston and husband, Alfred of Chester; grandchildren, Niki, Brian and Travis; and great-granddaughter, Malia. He was preceded in death by three sisters, three brothers, and a special friend of 40 years, Annabel Ray.

A graveside service was held Tuesday (today), August 10, at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rice.

Puckett Funeral Home, Farmville, was in charge of arrangements.
