Charlotte Watson Giles, 84 Former Resident Dies In Richmond

AUGUST 13 – Charlotte Watson Giles, 84, died Thursday, August 6, 2009 in Richmond.
She was born on June 29, 1925 in Prince Edwarfd County, a daughter of the late Haile Otto Watson and Epsie Baldwin Watson Vale.
She was married to the late Maurice Thompson Giles who predeceased her in 1989.
Mrs. Giles was a retired rural mail carrier with the United States Postal Service.
She is survived by four children; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Richard G. Watson and wife, Jeanette of Panama City, FL, David Lee Watson and wife, Marie of Richmond, Haile O. Watson and wife, Cooter of Lugoff, SC and Wallace H. Vale of Mount Pleasant, SC; and one sister, Leona V. Gowen of Lilburn, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. from Townes Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Richard Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park.
The family will receive friends at Townes Funeral Home from 10-11 a.m. prior to the funeral service on Saturday.
