CUMBERLAND, May 20 – Mrs. Charlotte Carter Trent, 90, of Cumberland, departed this life on Saturday, May 17, 2008 in Amelia.

She is survived by four sons, Charles Sr. (Cleasther), Robert (Mary), Melvin (Lovella), and Ernest Trent; three daughters, Barbara Jones (Harold), Darneitha Banks (John), and Carrie Tyler (Keith); 22 grand-children; 34 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law; a brother-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Her remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home, Cumberland.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Center Union Baptist Church, Cumberland, with the Rev. Stevie M. Trent, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
