ROCKVILLE, MD, Oct. 7 – Charles Gilliam Smith, Jr., of Rockville, Maryland, died Tuesday, October 5, 2004. He was the husband of the late Ethel P. Smith.

He was the father of Donna Jane (Jim) Brown; grandfather of Caren (Joy Swantkowski) Brown, Susan Tutor and Colleen (Greg) Corliss; great grandfather of Brian S. Brown, Paris and Corwyn Tutor, Katelyn and Reagan Corliss; brother of Barbara Jean Powell and the late William Irving Smith. Also survived by a special friend, Vi Gibson.

Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd., West, Silver Spring, MD, Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Shrine of St. Jude, 12701 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD, on Saturday, October 9, at 12 p.m. Interment in Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
