Celia L. Epperson, 83

APRIL 10 – Celia Llewellyn Epperson, 83, died on Monday, April 7, 2008, at the home of her son in Powhatan. A resident of Buckingham for 80 years, she was born August 10, 1924, to the late William A. and Nannie C. Llewellyn. She was also pre-deceased by a brother, William G. Llewellyn and two sisters, Odelle L. Steger and Virginia L. Pritchett.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, Thomas Irving Epperson; a son, Dr. T. Irving Epperson Jr. and wife, Bonnie of Powhatan; a grandson, Dr. Thomas I. Epperson III and wife, Kimberly of Glen Allen; a step-granddaughter, Jessica Baldovin of Powhatan; two great-grandsons, Tyler and Baylor Epperson of Glen Allen; a sister-in-law, Audrey C. Llewellyn of Buckingham and a number of nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Mrs. Epperson was a lifelong member of Mulberry Grove Baptist Church where she served faithfully as church treasurer for many years.

A funeral service will be held at Mulberry Grove Baptist Church on Friday, April 11, at 11 a.m. followed by interment in the church cemetery.

The family will greet friends Thursday (today), April 10, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Dunkum Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Medical Mission Fund at Mulberry Grove Baptist Church, 1216 Howardsville Road, Buckingham or the Alzheimer's Association.
