BUCKINGHAM, Sept. 25 – Carrie H. Morgan, 82, of Buckingham, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008 in Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Dillwyn. She was born May 13, 1926, in Buckingham County, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jeff and Annie Pearl Huddleston.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lundy “Buddy” H. Morgan Sr. and a brother, Jeff Huddleston Jr.

She is survived by two daughters, Rita M. Elliot and husband, Kenneth, and Brenda M. Tatum and a devoted son-in-law, Berry Seay and son, Lundy H. Morgan II and wife, Ellen; three sisters, Lorraine Banton of Powhatan, Dorothy Seal and Barbara Meador of Cumberland; and three brothers, Richard and Cecil Huddleston of Richmond and Harry Huddleston of Lynchburg; 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Remains rest at the Dunkum Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday., Sept. 26.

Services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m. at Dunkum Funeral Home with interment at Salem Methodist Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Dillwyn Fire Department, Buckingham Rescue Squad, or Salem United Methodist Church.
