CUMBERLAND, June 15 -Carol Brown Barker, 59, of Cumberland, died Saturday, June 12,2004.

She was the daughter of the late Carl D. and Bessie Amos Brown.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph R. Barker; two daughters, Stephanie F. Barker and Melanie L. Barker and one brother, Thomas H. Brown all of Cumberland. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph R. Barker, Jr., one brother, Carl D. Brown, Jr. and one aunt, Ida Amos.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fitzgerald Memorial Baptist Church, Cumberland, with interment in the Amos and Brown Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends this evening (Tuesday) at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy, (Rt. 60), Powhatan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Cartersville Rescue Squad.
