FLORIDA, Jan. 20 – Bonnie Lee Mann Hamersly, daughter of the late Edward Maurice Mann Sr. and Elsie Beatrice Norton Mann, devoted wife, beloved mother and Boggle champion, passed away Tuesday morning, January 6, 2009 at the age of 70. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

She was a teacher, a rabid baseball fan, a reluctant but accomplished cook, and above all, a brilliant thinker who could beat people twice her size at any game of words or cards.

She leaves her husband, Burton Barbee Hamersly; brother, Edward Maurice “Pete” Mann Jr.; sons, Kendall and Michael Hamersly; granddaughter, Zoe Paige Hamersly; inlaws, Martha Sue Hamersly Blosser and Bud Blosser, Cristina Lopez Hamersly and Michael Agrifolio, and unending sweet memories of a life lived with dignity against powerful odds.
