FOREST, Jan. 8 – Robert Estes Spencer, Jr., 51, of Forest, died Tuesday, January 6, 2004.

Born In Lynchburg, June 20, 1952, he was a son of Lucy Ore Spencer Bailey of Farmville and the late Robert Estes Spencer, Sr. He was a 1970 graduate of Brookville High School and James Madison University In 1974.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 26 years, Vicki Deal Spencer; a son, Robert Travis Spencer and his girlfriend, Tara Maiewski of Forest; his maternal grandmother, Mamie Bowling Spencer of Lynchburg: paternal mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Mary Lee Deal of Madison Heights; stepfather, William R. Bailey, Jr. of Farmville; two stepbrothers, William R. Bailey, III and his wife, Melissa of Farmville and Dwayne Alien Bailey and his wife. Dawn of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

A funeral service was held 11 a.m. today (Thursday) in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, by Dr. Tim N. Madison and the Rev. Steve Tyree. Burial followed in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
