Nannie Mae Sprague, 77 Of Rice Dies November 23

RICE, Dec. 9 – Nannie Mac Watson Sprague, 77, of Rice, died Sunday, November 23, 2003.
She was born April 22, 1926, a daughter of the late Henry and Addie Rice Watson. She was he widow of Melvin Sprague, Sr.
Mrs. Sprague was employed at Stackpole Component Company in Farmville for 15 years and at Eldercare Nursing Home for 10 years.
She is survived by one son, Melvin Sprague, Jr. of Rice; five daughters, Erma Sprague and Josephine Hurt (Ernest) both of Rice, Betty Eldridge (Phillip, Jr.) and Shirley Watson (David, Sr.) both of Farmville and Martha Walker (Kenneth) of Cullen; one sister, Mary E. Redd of Rice; two brothers, Thomas Watson of Rice and Freddie White of Philadelphia, PA; three brothers-in-law, Branch Sprague, James Sprague and Thomas Jones; four sisters-in-law, Martha Watson, Edith Sprague, Sarah Jones and Priscilla Johnson; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, November 29 at Monroe Baptist Church, Rice, with interment in the church cemetery.
