CARTERSVILLE, April 20 – James Garland (“Sandy”) Sanderson, 84, of Cartersville, son of Mr. and Mrs. William P. Sanderson of Cartersville, died on Friday, April 9, 2010. His wife of 54 years, Nancy McArdle Sanderson, and daughter, Pamela Sanderson, preceded him in death.

He is survived by daughters, Jocelyn Crooker, Laurie Sanderson and Ashley Rymer; sons, James Sanderson Jr. and Roger Sanderson; daughters-in-law, Julie Sanderson and Loretta Sanderson; sons-in-law, Alan Crooker, Kevin Montgomery, and Dennis Rymer; 13 grand-children and 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Audrey Robinson; brothers, William Sanderson, Eldridge Sanderson and John Sanderson.

Mr. Sanderson enjoyed farming and his 38-year career as an agronomist for Southern States Cooperative. He enjoyed people and loved to motivate young people.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Sunday, April 25 at Thomas Chapel United Methodist Church, Cartersville, with visitation at the church following the service.
