Memorial Service Held May 25 In SC For Henry Fielder Hubbard, 94

SOUTH CAROLINA, June 1 – Henry Fielder Hubbard, 94, of Surfside Beach, SC, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Veteran's Victory House Nursing Home in Walterboro, SC.
Mr. Hubbard was born in Rice, a son of the late Harry Hunter and Margaret Estelle Wilson Hubbard. He was a Sgt. in the US Army where he met and married Mary Stelline Altman.
He was a member of Surfside United Methodist Church, a member of Murrells Inlet Masonic Lodge #368, a 32nd Degree member of the Scottish Rite in Charleston, SC, member of Omar Shrine Temple in Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Kingfisher Local Shrine Club.
Mr. Hubbard was predeceased by his wife and four sisters, Janie H. Jones, Chesta H. Morrissette, Hilda H. Mahan and Marian H. Carrington.
Survivors include a son, Wilson A. Hubbard of Surfside Beach, SC, and a sister, Mamie H. McClenny of Farmville. He fondly is remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, May 25, at Surfside United Methodist Church and the Rev. Dr. Scott H. Wachter, pastor, and the Rev. L. Kim Eanes, parish pastor, officiated.
Joseph Fielder Morrissette, of Burkeville, nephew of Mr. Hubbard, also spoke and shared family stories.
