APRIL 6 – Harold Roland Kneeland, 86 of Farmville, formerly of Rowley, Massachusetts passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010 in Farmville. He was born February 19, 1924 in Massachusetts, the son of the late Harold and Blanche Fitz Knee-land. He was a merchant marine. He was a hard worker, growing up during the depression and being part of the greatest generation he had to work all the time. Mr. Kneeland lived in Rowley, Massachusetts all his life until moving to Farmville in 2007. He worked as a truck driver. Mr. Kneeland loved fishing and being around the water.

He is survived by his son, Roland W. Kneeland and wife, Lorna of Rowley, MA; daughter, Amber Biron and husband, James of Prospect; four grandchildren, Jeanne Kneeland, Jason Kneeland and Michelle Biron all of Massachusetts and Justin Biron of Colorado and two great-grandchildren, Eliza and Niger Reynolds.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church.
