Graveside Service To Be Held Wednesday For Andrew “Bo” Johnston, 80

VICTORIA, April 13 – Andrew Pennington “Bo” Johnston Sr., 80, of Victoria, passed away Friday, April 9, 2010 in Farmville.

Mr. Johnston was born in Cumberland County, January 14, 1930 to the late Arthur Pen-brook and Bessie Vinnie Johnston. He was retired from his employment with Piedmont Geriatric Hospital and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Susie Johnston; son, Andrew P. Johnston Jr., both of Victoria; daughters, Rita Fay Johnston of Cumberland and Susan Lee Johnston and husband, Gary of Alberta; grandchildren, Jasmyne Deloris Johnston, Robert W. “Robbie” Price and wife, Aimiee Marie Price, and Anna Christine Price; great-grandchildren, Hailey Nicole Guthrie, Justin Nathaniel Price, Zachary Michael Price, MaKayla Marie Price, and Payton Elizabeth Bass; brothers, John William Johnston, Arthur Lester Johnston, Calvin Rudolph “Rudy” Johnston and James Newton; and sisters, Minnie Lucille Johnston Staley, Mary Florence “Dit” Johnston Pennington, Bessie Elizabeth Johnston Hannan, and Frances Catherine Johnston Wilck.

He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Pansy Opal Johnston, Donald Woodrow “Tuck” Johnston, Addie Virginia Johnston Saffer, Audrey Marshall Johnston Williams, Clayton Penbrook Johnston and Galyia Dainese “Sis” Johnston Merchant.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 14 in Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Military Honors.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday (today) at the funeral home.
