PROSPECT, Jan. 6 – Sid Francis Kerns, 70, of Prospect, died Sunday, January 4, 2004 at his home.

Mr. Kerns retired and moved to Prospect in 1976, He was an avid outdoorsman, a master angler and played baseball for the Rockingham County League and was a veteran of the Korean War,

He is survived by three children, William Lee Kerns, Steven Ray Kerns and Karen Steward; a sister, Audrey K. McKeel; three brothers, Wilmer Kerns, Jack Kerns and Dennis Kerns and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Clover Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, Dayton.

Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, is in charge of arrangements.
