APRIL 22 – Mary C. Young, 67, of Farmville, died Sunday, April 18, 2010 in Richmond. She was born in Charlotte County, the daughter of the late Bruce Johnson Sr. and Alice Goldman Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Sylvester Young of the home; children, Clifford Womack of Farmville, Jean Womack of Bowie, MD, JoAnn Gould (Robert) and Michael Young of Cheltenham, MD; four grandchildren, Brandon Womack and Neece Gould of Bowie, MD, and Paris and Sidney Young of Cheltenham, MD; sister, Alice Williams-Redd (James) of Cullen; brother, Bruce Edward Johnson Jr. (Clara) of Farmville; three aunts, Mary G. Walker of Farmville, Florence Snead of Roanoke, and Selma Goldman of Baltimore, MD; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Nathaniel Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 24, at noon at the St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen with interment in the church cemetery.
